Marilyn Saltzman is the author of the 2020 memoir, Your Love Is Blasting in My Heart: A Grandmother's Journey. The heartwarming book explores Mussar, the practice of Jewish ethics, through inspiring stories about a grandmother and her grandchildren, adopted from China and Ethiopia. \n\nMarilyn worked as journalist, serving as editor of The Golden Daily Transcript and stringer for The Denver Post. She was public relations manager for Jefferson County Public Schools, Colorado, for 20 years and has been a public relations consultant for school districts and education associations across the nation. She taught public relations courses to graduate students on the Denver campus of Colorado State University. She received her bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College and master’s from the University of Colorado, Denver.\n\nMarilyn is the co-author of several other nonfiction books including the award-winning Building School Communities, Strategies for Leaders and Reflections, Learning by Doing with BJ Meadows; Maybe Tomorrow, A Hidden Child of the Holocaust with Eric Cahn; and Dave Sanders, Columbine Teacher, Coach, Hero with Linda Sanders. She wrote a chapter in Reclaiming School in the Aftermath of Trauma, which received the 2013 Colorado Book Award, Anthology.\n
